Ascension "AC" Celaya Gallego

With hearts full of gratitude for her remarkable life, we celebrate the beautiful journey of Ascension “AC” Celaya Gallego who entered eternal peace at the age of 81. She was a devoted wife to Edward “Eddie” Gallego, a loving mother to Antoinette “Tonia” Salas Pedroza, Terri (Senon) Chavez, Susie Galvan (Abraham Avila), Cindy (Dino) Panos, Debbie Gallego, Gilbert (Terrie) Gallego, preceded in death by Ben Gallego. A proud grandmother, a delighted great-grandmother, and an overjoyed great-great grandmother; each one a blessing, 50 in total! A loving baby sister to Esther (Pete) Celaya, preceded in death by Joe (Charlotte) Celaya, Robert (Pat) Celaya, Rachel (preceded in death by Tommy) Holguin, Josie (preceded in death by Benny) Valdez, Tony Celaya (Dea Barry), and Lucy Campos. Leaving behind a love that will endure for generations. Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life; It guided her choices, sustained her spirit, and gave her an unshakable sense of hope. Prayer was a daily tradition, and she trusted deeply in God’s plan. She lived her faith not just in words, but through quiet acts of generosity, patience, and unconditional love. Energetic, healthy, and full of life, she greeted each day with gratitude and purpose. Her kindness was eƯortless, her compassion genuine. Her love for her family was unwavering and her greatest joy. As a devoted wife, she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. As a mother, she nurtured with wisdom and warmth. As a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother she delighted at every moment, and her love will remain a lasting gift. Though her physical presence will be missed, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the values she passed down—love, faith, resilience, generosity, and grace. We are grateful for the many years we shared with her and the beautiful example she set of a well-loved and a well-lived life.

Her legacy is not one of sorrow, but of faith, gratitude, joy, and enduring love.
