Frank C. Antuna, born on September 28, 1929, in Colorado, passed away peacefully at his residence in Escalon, California, on September 16, 2025. He was a beloved figure to many, known for his kind spirit and dedication to service.
Frank's journey through life was marked by numerous accomplishments and experiences. He was a proud alumnus of Gilroy High School, where he developed a passion for long-distance running. His love for his country led him to join the National Guard in the 1950s, where he served with honor and integrity. After fulfilling his military duties, Frank embarked on a career that began as a bus driver in Oakland, California. His work ethic and determination eventually led him to become a welder and supervisor at FMC, where he earned respect for his skills and leadership.
Never one to sit idle, Frank embraced retirement with enthusiasm, dedicating his time to volunteer efforts, particularly with the Flying Doctors, a service devoted to providing medical care to those in need. His generosity and willingness to help others made a significant impact on the lives of many.
Frank cherished spending time with his family and friends. He found joy in trips, bowling, and fishing, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his children, daughters Inez, Marie, Sandra, and son Frank Jr., who will continue to honor his memory and his beloved sisters Dolores and Teresa, and his brother Jimmy, all of whom he held dear in his heart.
A viewing will be held in his honor on October 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Flowers Funeral Home, located at 900 S Second St, San Jose, CA 95112. The family invites all those who knew and loved Frank to come to pay their respects and celebrate a life well-lived.
