PHOONSAP "Malee" Silva

Phoonsap “Malee” Silvis, 58, the beloved matriarch of the Silvis clan, passed away of August 12, 2025, holding hands with her husband of 27 years. Born on October 3, 1968, in Nong Bua Lumphu, Thailand, Malee’s greatest joy and achievement was her large, close-knit family here and abroad. As a mother of combined 5 children and 7 grandchildren, Malee was the heart of the Silvis family. Her kitchen was the gathering place for Sunday dinners, holiday celebrations, and impromptu family meetings. Malee had a knack for remembering every birthday, anniversary, and important date in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives, never failing to send a card or make a call. The Thai food she made was legendary, and she delighted in seeing people eating and enjoying themselves. Malee is survived by her husband Steven, her children, Mos, Van, Dew, Andrew and Jonathan, and their growing families. The service will be held on September 6, 2025, at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. 2nd St. in San Jose, California, followed at a place yet to be determined. The family will be sharing Malee’s cherished accomplishments and stories, ensuring that her legacy of love and togetherness continues for generations to come.
