Ramon Sanchez Garcia, lovingly known as Ray, was born on October 18, 1957, in Tulare, California. He was the cherished son of Fidencio Garcia and Frances Sanchez, who both preceded him in death. As one of seven siblings, Ray shared a deep bond with his remaining brothers and sisters: Alfonso, George, Rosie, and Susie, while honoring the memories of his brothers, Bill and David, who also departed before him.
Ray was a devoted father to his three wonderful children—Ray Jr., Steven, and Niki—who were the pride of his life. He also leaves behind his ex-wife, Margaret, with whom he shared many years of memories.
In the hearts of those who knew him, Ray was a good and honest man, loved by everyone privileged to cross his path. A dedicated firefighter, he was more than just a first responder; he was a hero who found joy in saving lives and helping others in countless ways. Beyond his unwavering commitment to service, Ray was a true friend, always eager to share his wisdom and knowledge with his loved ones.
Among his many passions, fishing stood out as one of his favorite pastimes, a joyful escape that brought him peace and fulfillment.
Ray left this world on August 20, 2024, in San Jose, California. His absence is deeply felt, and those left behind struggle to reconcile the reality of life without him. The impact he had on those around him will forever be treasured, and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He is already missed terribly, and the void he leaves behind is immense.
