As a young child, Bill was a bit of an entrepreneur always figuring ways to make money to support himself and his family. Times were hard in those days. In his early 20s, he decided to move to California. This is where he met his future wife Mary Vargas. Bill and Mary, enjoyed fishing, camping, RV’ing, road trips, and  boating at the Delta Marina. Bill was a social butterfly to say the least, always there to start the conversations. Bill loved to teach young and old how to fish, and catch crawdads at the Delta. If you needed a fish filleted, Mr. Bill was your go to guy. While raising his kids Bill exposed them to wonderful times with raising horses, and other animals. Bill and his wife Mary took lots of road trips with their kids and grandkids each year. Bill was a generous person with his time. He was ready to help even if that meant finishing off your last piece of pie.  Bill was like a mascot at the Delta Marina. The RV’ers would return each year waiting to see Mr. Bill a.k.a. Baker Bill. He retired after 50 years as a baker and cake decorator. Some of the favorite things Bill liked to do was having a good meal or two. Bill would like to puff off of the cherry tobacco pipe, while watching some of his favorite cowboy movies. Bill was a loving husband and father. Everyone who met him would remember his outgoing and jokester personality.
